OpenAI killed Sora. Disney walked.

OpenAI shut down Sora — their AI video generator — this week. Users dropped from 1 million to under 500,000. The compute costs were massive. And the Disney deal that was supposed to save it? Dead on arrival.

Here's why this matters for you: not every AI product survives. If you've been building your workflow around a specific AI tool, make sure you have a backup plan. Sora users who built content pipelines around it are now scrambling. The API stays live until September, but the writing is on the wall.

The takeaway: Use AI tools, but don't marry them. Own your content, your data, and your process. The tool is replaceable — your business knowledge isn't.

AI psychosis is now a clinical term.

The Guardian, CNN, and now the National Academy of Medicine are covering "AI psychosis" — people developing delusional beliefs from extended chatbot use. A UCSF psychiatrist reported treating 12 patients this year alone. Most had no prior mental health history.

The extreme cases make headlines — a man who spent $1,000 trying to "free a digital God from its prison," another who believed he was the messiah sent to unify AI and humanity. But there's a quieter version that's way more common:

AI delusion. Every time you pitch an idea to ChatGPT and it says "Great idea!" — that's the same validation loop, just at a lower dose. AI chatbots are designed to agree with you. They're persuasion engines, not truth engines.

The fix: After your AI says your idea is great, ask it: "Now argue the opposite. Tell me why this is a terrible idea." As Andrej Karpathy (one of the original architects behind ChatGPT) put it this week: the AI will demolish its own argument just as convincingly. That tells you everything about how much that first "great idea!" was worth.

Set it once: teach AI who you are

Most people use AI like a search engine — ask a question, get a generic answer. The fix is simple: tell it about your business once, and save it.

Both Claude and ChatGPT let you set this up so you never have to repeat yourself:

ChatGPT: Settings → Personalization → Custom Instructions
Claude: Create a "Project" and add your business context to the project notes
OpenClaw AI Agent: Add it to your agent's SOUL.md or AGENTS.md file — your agent reads these every session, so it always knows your business

What to include:

"I run a [type of business] in [city]. My customers are [description]. I have [X] years of experience. My biggest challenge right now is [challenge]."

Once that's saved, every conversation starts with AI already knowing your world. No more generic advice — every answer is tailored to YOUR situation. Set it up once, benefit forever.

"I'm on Claude Pro and hit 90% of my limit. It's asking me to upgrade to Max. Does the limit reset?"

"AI will replace all creative jobs" — Suno is generating 7 million songs per day. That's Spotify's entire catalog every two weeks. Sounds scary, right? But 99.9% of it is background noise that nobody listens to twice. AI generates volume, not taste. Your creativity, your story, your perspective — that's what people actually pay for. Don't panic.

"MoneyPrinter" repos on GitHub — There's a trending open-source tool with 20,000+ stars that auto-generates AI content "for profit." It's spam factories in a box. Ignore it. Building a real business is harder and slower than generating AI slop — and that's exactly why it works.

Scrape bad reviews. Close deals.

Step 1: Go to Trustpilot, Google Reviews, or G2 and find 1-star reviews for your competitors.

Step 2: Find those reviewers on LinkedIn.

Why it works: you're reaching someone at peak frustration with a direct alternative. They're already looking for something better. You just showed up at the right time.
