๐Ÿ“Œ Actually Important

OpenAI killed Sora. Disney walked.

OpenAI shut down Sora โ€” their AI video generator โ€” this week. Users dropped from 1 million to under 500,000. The compute costs were massive. And the Disney deal that was supposed to save it? Dead on arrival.

Here's why this matters for you: not every AI product survives. If you've been building your workflow around a specific AI tool, make sure you have a backup plan. Sora users who built content pipelines around it are now scrambling. The API stays live until September, but the writing is on the wall.

The takeaway: Use AI tools, but don't marry them. Own your content, your data, and your process. The tool is replaceable โ€” your business knowledge isn't.

AI psychosis is now a clinical term.

The Guardian, CNN, and now the National Academy of Medicine are covering "AI psychosis" โ€” people developing delusional beliefs from extended chatbot use. A UCSF psychiatrist reported treating 12 patients this year alone. Most had no prior mental health history.

The extreme cases make headlines โ€” a man who spent $1,000 trying to "free a digital God from its prison," another who believed he was the messiah sent to unify AI and humanity. But there's a quieter version that's way more common:

AI delusion. Every time you pitch an idea to ChatGPT and it says "Great idea!" โ€” that's the same validation loop, just at a lower dose. AI chatbots are designed to agree with you. They're persuasion engines, not truth engines.

The fix: After your AI says your idea is great, ask it: "Now argue the opposite. Tell me why this is a terrible idea." As Andrej Karpathy (one of the original architects behind ChatGPT) put it this week: the AI will demolish its own argument just as convincingly. That tells you everything about how much that first "great idea!" was worth.

๐Ÿ”ง Tools & Releases

Shopify "Agentic Storefronts" โ€” Shopify merchants can now sell directly inside ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Copilot, and Gemini. Your customers don't visit your website โ€” the AI shops for them. If you sell physical products, this is worth watching. shopify.com

Claude Interactive Charts โ€” Paste your numbers into Claude, describe what you want, and it builds a live interactive chart. Bar, line, pie โ€” whatever you need. Works on all plans including free. Next time you need a chart for a client presentation, try this before opening Excel. claude.ai

CapCut Video Studio โ€” CapCut launched a canvas-based AI video workspace. Timeline-free editing, AI-generated transitions, and integrated with Seedance 2.0 for text-to-video. If you're creating short-form content for your business, this is the easiest entry point right now. capcut.com

๐ŸŒฑ If You're Getting Started

Set it once: teach AI who you are

Most people use AI like a search engine โ€” ask a question, get a generic answer. The fix is simple: tell it about your business once, and save it.

Both Claude and ChatGPT let you set this up so you never have to repeat yourself:

ChatGPT: Settings โ†’ Personalization โ†’ Custom Instructions
Claude: Create a "Project" and add your business context to the project notes
OpenClaw AI Agent: Add it to your agent's SOUL.md or AGENTS.md file โ€” your agent reads these every session, so it always knows your business

What to include:

"I run a [type of business] in [city]. My customers are [description]. I have [X] years of experience. My biggest challenge right now is [challenge]."

Once that's saved, every conversation starts with AI already knowing your world. No more generic advice โ€” every answer is tailored to YOUR situation. Set it up once, benefit forever.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Featured Question

"I'm on Claude Pro and hit 90% of my limit. It's asking me to upgrade to Max. Does the limit reset?"

Yes โ€” on the Pro plan ($20/mo), your usage resets every 5 hours. It's a rolling window that starts when you begin chatting, not a fixed daily reset. When you hit the limit, just wait it out. The "upgrade to Max" prompt is an upsell โ€” you don't need it for normal use.

Different plans, different limits: Free users get the tightest cap. Pro ($20/mo) gets significantly more, with a 5-hour rolling reset. Max ($100/mo) gets the most generous limits and priority access during busy times. Each tier also gives you access to different models โ€” Pro gives limited access to the most powerful model (Opus), while Max gives you much more of it.

Pro tip: Start new conversations instead of continuing massive threads. Long conversations eat your limit faster because Claude has to re-read the entire history every time you send a message. Fresh conversation = fresh budget.

New this week: Anthropic announced that during weekday peak hours (7amโ€“1pm CST), limits are tighter than usual across all plans. If you can, do your heavy AI work in the evenings or weekends when limits are more relaxed.

๐Ÿคท Noise to Ignore

"AI will replace all creative jobs" โ€” Suno is generating 7 million songs per day. That's Spotify's entire catalog every two weeks. Sounds scary, right? But 99.9% of it is background noise that nobody listens to twice. AI generates volume, not taste. Your creativity, your story, your perspective โ€” that's what people actually pay for. Don't panic.

"MoneyPrinter" repos on GitHub โ€” There's a trending open-source tool with 20,000+ stars that auto-generates AI content "for profit." It's spam factories in a box. Ignore it. Building a real business is harder and slower than generating AI slop โ€” and that's exactly why it works.

๐Ÿ’ก Opportunity Spotted

Scrape bad reviews. Close deals.

Here's a lead gen tactic that's getting an 11.4% reply rate (vs. the usual 0.3% for cold email):

Step 1: Go to Trustpilot, Google Reviews, or G2 and find 1-star reviews for your competitors.

Step 2: Find those reviewers on LinkedIn.

Step 3: Send a personalized message within 72 hours: "Hey โ€” saw you had a rough experience with [competitor]. We solve that exact problem differently. Happy to show you."

Why it works: you're reaching someone at peak frustration with a direct alternative. They're already looking for something better. You just showed up at the right time.

You can do this manually in 30 minutes per week, or use AI to speed up the research. Either way โ€” try it this week with 5 competitor reviews.

That's the week. AI keeps moving fast, but the real wins are in helping real people use it.
